Secure in Thee

Praise be to God. Because of Your infinitude, we can sleep soundly without worrying that our sin and judgement will catch up with us suddenly! Great woe it is, to have to try to sleep without the security of tomorrow! How scary it is, if through the sleep, we would be suddenly taken away to meet with death and having to die an eternal death to atone for our own sins!

(What are we before You? Before Your burning holiness and blazing glory? A word from You and we are destroyed! You breathe, and we are consumed instantly! Teach us O Lord, to know our own feeble frame...
Teach us, our love to raise, in light of your fearful majesty.)

But in Thee, our Salvation is secure.
Because Your love is infinite
Your grace is infinite
Your mercy is infinite
Your faithfulness is infinite
Your word is sure
You are God and there is none like You.

Isaiah 45:5-7
“I am the Lord, and there is no other;
Besides Me there is no God.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me;
That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun
That there is no one besides Me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other,
The One forming light and creating darkness,
Causing well-being and creating calamity;
I am the Lord who does all these.

Up now, slight man! Flee for a little while thy occupations; hide thyself for a time from 
thy disturbing thoughts. Cast aside now  thy burdensome cares, and put away thy 
toilsome business. Yield room for some little time to God, and rest for a little time in 
Him. Enter the inner chamber of thy mind; shut out all thoughts save that of God and 
such as can aid thee in seeking Him. Speak now, my whole heart! Speak now to God, 
saying, I seek Thy face; Thy face, Lord, will I seek.”
